La società bianconera ha reso noto le date dei raduni dei lanciatori e dei ricevitori, che si ritroveranno sul diamante Antonio Scialoja di Castellina Scalo sabato 10 febbraio per iniziare il proprio lavoro. A seguire il raduno dei position playes (interni ed esterni), a partire dalla settimana successiva.
E’ intanto notizia di questi giorni che la società bianconera ha concesso il nulla osta ad Euridis Martinez, lanciatore classe 1997, partente bianconero la scorsa stagione, anno in cui era tornato a Siena dopo l’esperienza in serie B a Firenze, per allenarsi proprio con la Fiorentina Baseball, che dovrebbe disputare il campionato di serie B dopo aver rinunciato alla serie A2. E’ dunque pressoché certo che Martinez non sarà del gruppo per la regular season 2018. Si aprono, dunque, le strade per il ruolo di lanciatore partente per Miguel Sacchi (2000), con Fabiangel Garcia Gil (1995) a fare da rilievo assieme al giovane Dario Osti (2002) ed al rientrante Albin Paulino (1995), già lanciatore bianconero nel 2013.
