SIENA. Sarà Siena l’unico ospedale in Italia collegato in diretta mondiale via web per interventi di chirurgia della sordità. Martedì 11 dicembre, infatti l’UOC Chirurgia Otologica e della Bsse Cranica del policlinico Santa Maria alle Scotte, diretta da Franco Trabalzini, sarà collegata, direttamente dalla sala operatoria, con le cliniche di Utrecht, Beziers, Hannover, Wexham, dalle ore 8.45 alle ore 17. L’evento è inserito in un programma formativo di training per i giovani medici organizzato in videoconferenze, fortemente voluto dal dottor Trabalzini in qualità di presidente della EAONO – European Academy of Otology and Neuro-Otology. “Verranno eseguiti interventi di ricostruzione del sistema di trasmissione del suono all’interno dell’orecchio – spiega Trabalzini – per ripristinare un buon livello uditivo in pazienti affetti da sordità. Per il terzo anno consecutivoil nostro ospedale è chiamato a confrontarsi con centri europei di assoluto prestigio sulle più moderne acquisizioni nella chirurgia della sordità”.
