Ecco il primo portatile che puo' "oltrepassare" i muri
ROMA. Vedere attraverso i muri come Superman? Oggi è possibile. Un’azienda inglese ha infatti creato il Prism 200c, uno strumento portatile abbastanza piccolo da poter essere utilizzato da una sola persona, ma riservato per il momento esclusivamente alle forze dell’ordine.Basato su una tecnologia che utilizza le onde radio del sistema radar UWB (ultra wide band), può produrre immagini tridimensionali dei movimenti al di là di un determinato ostacolo, fatto di mattoni o di cemento, fino a venti metri di distanza. Le immagini raccolte con il sistema sono simili a quelle realizzate grazie agli ultrasuoni, con una risoluzione abbastanza precisa. L’invenzione trova importanti applicazioni non solo in campo militare, salvando la vita di molti soldati impegnati in operazioni anti-terrorismo su territorio urbano, ma anche nel campo della lotta contro il crimine, ad esempio per la ricerca di persone sequestrate, e in campo civile, ad esempio nella ricerca di sopravvissuti dopo un disastro.
