FOGGIA. In tantissimi ieri sera hanno partecipato sul sagrato della Chiesa di San Pio da Pietrelcina a San Giovanni Rotondo (Fg), alla veglia per ricordare la morte del santo con le stimmate avvenuta nella notte tra il 22 e il 23 settembre del 1968. E oggi e' anche l'ultimo giorno in cui i pellegrini potranno vedere le spoglie del santo con le stimmate. Nella notte tra il 23 e il 24, infatti, le spoglie saranno traslate in una nuova urna che non ha le pareti in vetro ma e' realizzata in legno e argento. Questo in attesa del trasferimento definitivo delle spoglie di San Pio nella cripta della nuova chiesa dedicata proprio al santo. Al momento la data del trasferimento non e' stata ancora decisa. Naturalmente i fedeli potranno continuare a pregare davanti alla tomba del santo anche se le spoglie non saranno piu' visibili come avviene dal 24 aprile del 2008 primo giorno di ostensione del corpo di San Pio. Secondo gli ultimi dati dell'ufficio accoglienza di San Giovanni Rotondo sono stati quasi novemilioni i fedeli che dal 24 aprile del 2008 hanno visitato le spoglie di San Pio. Questa sera mentre si provvedera' a traslare il corpo del santo sul sagrato della nuova chiesa la cantante americana Amii Stewart presentera', in anteprima mondiale, il suo nuovo singolo "Con te".
